At PEI MMA, we believe after-school care should be more than supervision. Every afternoon is intentionally designed to help children become more confident, active, responsible, and independent through movement, leadership, emotional development, and meaningful life experiences.

Getting to PEI MMA is simple. As a licensed school-age program, children can be dropped off directly at the Academy by their regular school bus.

Our team will work with you to help make your child's transition from school to PEI MMA as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Every afternoon follows a consistent routine while allowing flexibility for school bus arrivals, children's interests, weather, early pick-ups, and special programming.
What Does a Typical Afternoon Look Like?
🚍Transition & Recharge
Approximately 2:40–3:45 PM
School buses arrive throughout the afternoon, with most children arriving between approximately 2:40 PM and 3:00 PM.
As children arrive, they check in, organize their belongings, enjoy a healthy afternoon snack, and choose from a variety of supervised activities, homework support and quiet learning that help them unwind after the school day.
🌱 Learning & Growth
Approximately 3:30–4:30 PM
Once most children have arrived, we come together for the day's planned activities, which may include homework support, leadership, life skills, STEAM+E activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics + Entrepreneurship), mindfulness, creativity, team-building, or group projects.
🏃 Active Play & Movement
Approximately 4:30–5:00 PM
Children enjoy outdoor play, fitness, movement games, and other active experiences that promote confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits.
🥋 Individual Program Pathways
Beginning around 5:00 PM
Depending on each child's schedule, children may:
Attend their PEI MMA martial arts class
Continue homework or quiet activities
Participate in supervised games, creative projects, or outdoor play
👋 Pick-Up & Departure
Approximately 4:30–5:45 PM
Children are signed out by their parents or guardians as they are picked up throughout the afternoon. Staff ensure a smooth transition home while children continue participating in supervised activities until departure.
Activities and timing may vary depending on school bus arrivals, the PEI MMA class schedule, weather, children's needs, early pick-ups, and special programming.

Plus Members enjoy a seamless transition into PEI MMA martial arts classes during or immediately following the after-school program, depending on their class schedule.

Rising Ninjas Bundle (RNBs) | Small-Group Developmental Program
Ages 3–6 | Typically 4 children per coach
Rising Ninjas is designed for younger children who benefit from a smaller, more supportive introduction to martial arts before transitioning into Little Ninjas. Our small-group approach allows for more individualized attention while helping children develop confidence, focus, coordination, self-regulation, and foundational martial arts skills at their own pace.
After-School families can add Rising Ninjas to their selected Standard Plan at a special bundle rate:
RNB-1 class/week: +$55 bi-weekly
RNB-2 classes/week: +$105 bi-weekly
We generally recommend starting with one class per week and increasing as your child becomes more comfortable.

Plus & Bundle After-School Plans combines after-school care and martial arts in one convenient afternoon while saving on regular PEI MMA membership rates.

Child Care Subsidy
PEI MMA is a licensed school-age child care program.
Eligible families may qualify for the PEI Child Care Subsidy Program, which can help reduce the cost of after-school care.

Before-School & PD Day Care
Need Before-School Care? We’re currently collecting interest for the 2026–2027 school year. The program may be offered once minimum enrollment is reached.

PD DAY CARE
Professional Development Days don't have to be stressful.
PEI MMA offers full-day PD Day programming throughout the school year, providing families with dependable care when schools are closed.

Families enrolled in the 4-Day or 5-Day Plus Memberships receive:

PD Days are also open to non-members.

Discounts & Financial Assistance
Early Registration
Register by August 20, 2026 and receive 5% off the Standard After-School care portion of your bi-weekly tuition through the first billing period of January 2027. Please use the discount code: ASP5%
Sibling Early Registration Bonus: Families enrolling two or more children by August 20, 2026 will also receive an additional $25 Early Registration credit per child toward their After-School tuition.
Additional Sibling Discount
Families enrolling two or more children receive 5% off each child’s tuition for the duration of their enrollment.
Community Appreciation Discount
Healthcare professionals, educators, military members, and first responders receive $50 total savings; $25 off each of their first two regular bi-weekly tuition payments.
Discounts:
**Only one discount may be applied per child. If a family qualifies for more than one discount, we will apply the most beneficial eligible option unless otherwise arranged.
**Discounts apply to the Standard After-School care portion only. Plus 1 and Plus 2 martial arts add-ons, Sign-Up Fees, PD Days, merchandise, camps, and other programs are not discounted unless otherwise specified.
**No need to apply the following discounts (Sibling Discount, Sibling Early Registration Bonus, & Community Appreciation Discount) during sign-up. Eligible discounts will be reviewed, combined where applicable, and applied to your After-School tuition after sign-up. We’ll contact you if any additional information is needed.
Financial Assistance
Limited financial assistance or sponsored spaces may be available through community partnerships and funding initiatives.

How to Enroll
Signing up is simple:
Choose your After-School plan and click Sign Up
Create or log in to your PEI MMA account
Pay the Sign-Up Fee** to reserve your child’s space
Review and sign the Program Agreements
Complete the After-School Enrollment Form sent to you by email after sign-up
Your Enrollment Form will collect the additional information we need, including your child’s weekly schedule, school bus arrangements, emergency and health information, authorized pick-up persons, permissions, PD Day interest, martial arts attendance, and eligible discounts.
**Sign-Up Fee: One month’s tuition is collected at sign-up. It serves as your program deposit, is not an additional fee, and will be applied toward the final tuition payments of the school year.
Depending on your child’s individual needs, we may invite your family for a short visit or introductory meeting to help us understand how we can best support their success.
